Through transit and beyond
Once you've closed your DNA collection tube, the liquid inside will preserve the saliva sample for 6-12 months and in nearly any weather condition, so have no fear about postal delays potentially impacting your dog's results.
Weather conditions
The purple fluid in the test tube is designed to keep your sample safe in transit in many different weather conditions, though freezing temperatures and those above 100°F are not ideal.
If you can drop the kit off inside the post office rather than leaving it outside, or wait until it gets above freezing or below 90°F, that's what we suggest.
Another option is for you to contact a carrier such as FedEx or UPS and provide for overnight or expedited shipping methods.
Contingency plans
If in the off-chance your sample isn't sufficient for analysis, we'll let you know and have a free replacement swab sent out to you.
