Even though a lot of dogs have the slender shape and prey drive associated with sighthounds, breeds like the Greyhound and Whippet are actually fairly uncommon in mixed-breed dogs.
Pet parents often suspect sighthound in their dog based on body type, ear shape (specifically, “rose” ears), and brindle coloring. However, the other breeds in a mix often explain how your dog ended up looking like a sighthound.
