We often hear from people who suspected significant Carolina Dog ancestry in their dog but do not see Carolina Dog represented in their results. These dogs have simply inherited some of the traits we typically associate with the breed, notably a fawn sable base coat and prick ears. These can be inherited from any number of breeds- you may be interested in reviewing your dog’s trait results if you have access to them.
