Customized SNP Microarray
Our testing platform is a customized Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) Microarray, developed in collaboration with Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, utilizing the latest research-grade canine genotyping technology. This advanced platform enables the analysis of over 230,000 genetic markers, allowing for comprehensive evaluation of a dog's breed composition, health traits, and potential health risks.
High Accuracy Probes
The microarray probes we use are designed for exceptional accuracy, surpassing 99.9%. For health condition testing, we use multiple (between 3-8) separate probes for each health condition, ensuring redundancy and a remarkably high overall accuracy rate of above 99.99% for individual health tests.
Quality Control Process
We implement rigorous quality control measures to maintain the accuracy of our testing. In the rare instances where the results of probes testing the same gene do not match, a secondary analysis is conducted by two independent geneticists. The conclusions of both geneticists must align before providing the final result to the customer. This double-checking process ensures accurate and reliable results.
Exceeding Industry Standards
We go above and beyond industry quality control standards by thoroughly checking various aspects of each sample. We verify the breed, sex, and relatives of every sample to ensure correct labeling and unique identity recording.
