Yes! Our highly trained genetic specialists can help you interpret your dog's results and provide recommendations for litter planning and customized care.
What is a genetic recommendation?
When Embark's genetic specialists offer a genetic recommendation, they present an analysis of a dog's clinical risk based on their genotype, the known mode of inheritance, and the penetrance of the variant. Additionally, these recommendations can inform breeders of the chance of genetically inherited diseases in offspring based on their parents' known genotypes.
How do I receive genetic recommendations from Embark?
Please reach out to our Customer Experience team with your questions. A Genetic Results Specialist or one of our Veterinary Geneticists can answer your questions and provide informed recommendations to help you care for your dog.
Do I need to buy an Embark test to get genetic recommendations?
Yes. You must use one of our DNA tests in order for our specialists to review the results and provide a recommendation.
Please note: Only your veterinarian can provide medical recommendations. Embark's resident veterinarians and customer experience team cannot provide diagnoses or medical advice but can provide expert insights about your dog's genetic results and how they can be used to impact health care and breeding decisions.
