It’s unlikely that littermates and relatives have the same MCT risk score as each other. Because of the concept of recombination, and because our MCT model makes individualized risk estimates based on multiple factors, each dog would need to be tested to receive their own estimate.
That being said, we certainly encourage you to share or discuss your Embark results with your dog’s littermates as well as your friends, family, and veterinarian. At the very least, this can prompt conversation around the importance of canine DNA testing and can benefit the growth and advancement of this complex science.
