If you're having trouble logging into the app due to magic link, please consider the following steps depending on type of device.
iOS Magic Link Issues
Below are the steps to open links in Apps instead of Browsers on iOS devices from Browserstack.
- Check Safari settings via Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data to ensure the app’s domain is listed. If not, it may default to the browser.
- Test the link after checking. If the app is installed and registered, it should open in the app. If it defaults to a browser, try reinstalling the app.
- Reset app or Safari settings through Settings > General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy to re-prompt the device to use the app for certain links.
Android Magic Link Issues
To enable magic links on your Android Device, to Settings.
In Settings, click on Apps.
From Apps, scroll and select Embark.
After selecting Embark, click the Set as Default option under the Defaults section.
In this menu, ensure that Open supported links is turned on.
Outlook Mail Issues
Outlook uses a security feature called Safelink, a link protection feature that can prevent the Sign In link from opening the app.
You can see more about this on the Microsoft website here, as well as instructions on how to turn this off.
Please note that turning off Safelinks will only affect future messages you receive, so you will need to re-send the magic link again for it to work differently.
