Which tests are OFA-accepted?

Our test results are accepted by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for all conditions where OFA has an established DNA registry. 

To see which tests are registrable with the OFA for your breed:

1. Go to embarkvet.com/breeders/health/.
2. Search for your breed.
3. If the condition is registrable with the OFA, their logo will appear next to the condition.

The OFA has informed Embark that they will accept our results for all breed-applicable testing. However, it is their policy for specific tests to only list patent licensees on their website. These tests include MDR1, PRA, and vWD I. Results for those tests are still provided to you by Embark and remain useful for assessing the health of your dogs; the results should be accepted when submitted to the OFA.

Remember: It is the customers’ responsibility to check with their breed club, registry, or the OFA as to which tests from Embark Veterinary are accepted for registration. However, we are here to help should you have any questions.
