Tip: We strongly recommend taking photos or videos that show swab codes for each dog during swabbing. Keeping these records will help to avoid the possibility of incorrectly assigned swabs and will prevent the need for retesting.
We can offer a limited number of complimentary replacement swabs in cases where pet owners or breeders mixed up their swabs. If you believe your dogs’ swabs may have been assigned incorrectly or you may have swabbed one dog multiple times, please contact us.
Important notes!
- Preventing mixups: This article refers to mixups during the swabbing and activation process. Our laboratory uses several checks to prevent swab mix-ups, most importantly a fully automated barcoding system that tracks each sample throughout the entire lab process. We also confirm each dog’s sex, breed ancestry, their relationship with dogs we have tested, and we perform a manual review of the traits analyzed in each dog to ensure no mixups have occurred.
- Incorrectly reporting your dog's sex can cause delays: Entering the wrong sex of your dog will cause significant delays in processing. Please contact us if you believe this error occurred.
