Even though a lot of dogs have the slender shape and prey drive associated with sighthounds, breeds like the Greyhound and Whippet are actually fairly uncommon in mixed breed dogs.
Pet parents often suspect sighthound in their dog based on body type, ear shape (specifically, “rose” ears), and brindle coloring. However, the other breeds in a mix often explain how your dog ended up looking like a sighthound.
