The purple fluid in the test tube is designed to keep your sample safe in transit in many different weather conditions, though freezing temperatures and those above 100F are not ideal. If you can drop the kit off inside the post office rather than leaving it outside, or wait until it gets above freezing or below 90F, that's what we suggest. Another option is for you to contact a carrier such as FedEx or UPS and provide for overnight or expedited shipping methods.
Most results are released within 2-4 weeks from the time we scan your swab at our facility but many results are finalized even sooner!
If in the off-chance your sample isn't sufficient for analysis, we'll let you know and have a free replacement swab sent out to you.
