Do you ship internationally?
Yes, Embark offers shipping to over 240 countries outside of the United States. You will notice a couple of differences on your order if you need a test shipped outside of the United States:
- There will be a $10 international shipping charge added to your order.
- The return envelope will not work outside of the United States, so you will need to pay for return shipping, using your own preferred courier.
Please note: Our prices are listed in USD and conversion rates may be applied by your bank
You will have to return your package back to us at the below address:
Embark Vet
Attn: Logistics Team
186 Lincoln St, 6th Floor
Boston, MA 02111
USA
Ordering from Canada?
We are able to ship orders to Canada. If you’re ordering from embarkvet.com, $10 will be added to your shipping fee. You can also order from amazon.ca, where shipping is more likely to be quicker.
It can take up to 14 business days for us to receive a swab from Canada, though it’s usually much quicker. Your return label will cover shipping charges within the US for your dog’s sample. To ensure that the return package will arrive at customs, please add 4 Canadian stamps alongside the US postage and drop it into a mail collections bin.
Do you have a customs form?
We highly recommend that you use an international courier that will provide you with a tracking number and estimated delivery date. Please email this tracking number to us at howdy@embarkvet.com so that we can also track your package. Note that Embark Veterinary is not able to accept Saturday deliveries. The transit duration can take up to 14-21 business days to arrive at our facilities.
When shipping the sample back to our lab, please fill out our customs form (attached) to avoid any unnecessary delays at the U.S. border.
The value that you declare on your shipment's U.S. Customs form should not total more than US$10. This is the value of the swabs themselves, not the price of your order. This will make it easier to get your shipment through customs, and there should not be any duties or taxes applied. Any duties, fees, or taxes are the responsibility of the customer. Unfortunately, sample processing will be delayed until all outstanding balances are paid.
If you need to provide an HS code it is 3822005090.
In order to facilitate correct identification of the shipment and to ensure timely delivery, USDA, AHPIS, and VS recommend that the following documentation accompany each shipment:
- A written statement identifying the material and naming the animal species.
- A written statement confirming that the material does not contain any other animal-derived material (i.e., does not contain any livestock or poultry origin material).
- A written statement confirming that the material was not derived from feline or canine species which were inoculated with or exposed to any infectious agents of USDA agricultural concern.
Do you cover the international customs fees?
We try to prepay for any potential customs charges prior to the kit's arrival. However, each incoming customs process varies from country to country. Every once in awhile a customs charge may be required for kit collection at a local post office near your shipping address.
If you find yourself in this position, please be sure to email us a copy of the required customs charge, and we will be more than happy to reimburse this cost. You can send any information or questions you may have about customs fees to our customer service team at howdy@embarkvet.com.
Please note: We will only reimburse the custom charges for purchases made on EmbarkVet.com.
